We here at Orangeville Volkswagen have been closely monitoring all developments regarding COVID-19 and are doing everything in our power to help protect our clients and our staff.

We will continue to take the following precautionary measures:

  • All customers and staff are required to wear a mask when inside any customer-facing area of the dealership.
  • Vehicle repairs / service will be facilitated by appointment only. Please call us at 519-941-3317 when you arrive for your appointment so we can discuss your options.
  • Our indoor customer waiting area is open with limited seating and a 6-foot separation between seats for proper social distancing.
  • No shuttle service is available. Loaner vehicles are available when booked in advance.
  • Our dealership is adhering to best practices and guidelines set forth by the WHO as well as local public health authorities.
  • All vehicles to be test-driven will be sanitized prior to the test drive.
  • All test-driven vehicles go through a 24-hour quarantine and sanitization prior to being test-driven by the next customer.
  • Fully-digital online trade appraisal tool available on our website.
  • All sales consultants able to facilitate face-to-face meetings digitally via digital tools such as Zoom.
  • All vehicle sales can be facilitated remotely. Email us at sales@orangevillevw.ca for any sales or leasing needs.
  • All employees trained on the preventative steps they need to take to keep clients and staff safe.
  • We have implemented a no-touch policy for our staff (e.g. no hand-shaking or physical contact with clients or other staff members).
  • We are instructing staff to stay home if they are not feeling well.

We also have new temporary hours of operation:

Sales:

  • Mon-Fri from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sat from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Parts and Service:

  • Mon-Fri from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

As of Monday, May 4th, we are re-opening our showroom to customers by appointment only as per the Ontario safety guidelines.

  • The new hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday and 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
  • Test drives are now permitted. The sales consultant will not be in the vehicle for the test drive and all vehicles will be sanitized before and after every test drive.
  • We will continue to facilitate remote vehicle purchase and delivery to customers who wish to skip the showroom and buy from home.

Our Service and Parts departments will be open from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday – Friday.

  • To help us control the number of guests, please book your appointment online or by phone at 519-941-3317.
  • Parts can only be purchased over the phone and picked up at our dealership. You can reach our Parts Department at 519-941-3317.

 

Our revised COVID-19 action plan is as follows:

  • We will have clearly-defined markers on floors, workstations and chairs to help ensure appropriate social distancing.
  • Cash transactions will not be accepted.
  • Acrylic sneeze guards will be installed on our sales consultants’ and service advisors’ desks.
  • If you bring your vehicle in for service, all touchpoints will be disinfected prior to pick-up.
  • We have discontinued shuttle service until further notice. We’re happy to arrange an Uber for you, but if you’re uncomfortable with this please come prepared with alternate transportation.
  • Customers will not be permitted to wait in the dealership.
  • We will only have limited customer seating at the dealership.
  • Our dealership is adhering to best practices and guidelines set forth by the WHO as well as local public health authorities.
  • All employees are trained on the preventative steps they need to take to keep the dealership safe.
  • Our cleaning staff has increased the frequency of cleaning/disinfecting all public touchpoints such as door handles, surfaces, etc.
  • We have increased the availability of hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes at our dealership
  • Our workstations are disinfected after every customer visit.
  • Our vehicles are disinfected after every test drive.
  • We have implemented a no-touch policy for our staff (e.g. no shaking hands or physical contact with customers or other staff members).
  • We are instructing staff to stay home if they’re not feeling well.
  • We are instructing staff that have traveled to self-isolate for 14 days prior to returning to work.
  • The total number of staff working at the dealership at any given time has been reduced.
  • Staff members have been further spaced out so that sales staff and service advisors are working at every other work station and technicians are working at every other hoist.
  • Customers will be asked to digitally approve the work requested instead of signing the Work Order.
  • Completed repair orders will be e-mailed to customers.

Due to increasing concerns around COVID-19 we have decided to close down the dealership until Monday, April 6th.

Our Sales Department will be closing down as of 6 p.m. tonight (Monday, March 23rd).

Our Parts and Service Departments will be closing down as of 4 p.m. tomorrow night (Tuesday, March 24th).

Although we’re temporarily closing our dealerships, we will continue to offer emergency mechanical repairs. Simply email us at service@orangevillevw.ca with the subject line “URGENT: Mechanical Repair” and a manager will get back to you shortly.

This is an exceptionally challenging time for all of us but I’m confident that we’ll get through this by caring for one another. I hope that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy and I want to reinforce that — both during and after this crisis — we’re here for you.
